Blizzard is set to launch Overwatch 2 Season 4 today, introducing new Support Hero Lifeweaver, a new Premium Battle Pass, and a selection of new events, starting with ‘B.O.B. and Weave’, in which two teammates go head-to-head in a 3v3 deathmatch. All players play as Lifeweaver, with each team getting a single B.O.B. to pull around the map, using Life Grip to eliminate enemies.

A new sci-fi themed ‘Starwatch’ event is also set to roll out this May, with a selection of rewards to earn, including the Mythic Galactic Emperor Sigma skin. The event also features the new Talantis map, the first to be made in collaboration with the Overwatch 2 community. The Starwatch event has The Watchers and The Infinite Empire doing battle, earning skins and cosmetics along the way.

Additionally, Brigitte has undergone a rework, as part of a series of balance updates. Small changes to Sigma, Reinhardt, and Cassidy pulls back their lethality “a bit”, while the Brigitte rework addresses her ‘Rally’ ultimate, making it “more engaging and powerful”. When using her ultimate ability, Brigitte will gain a fixed amount of recoverable armour, and powers up her shield with increased size and health, as well as an ability to stun. Various competitive and matchmaking quality of life updates are also set to roll out.

Overwatch 2 Season Four goes live today, with the B.O.B. and Weave event available until 25th April, and the Starwatch event delivering a 4v4 ‘Galactic Rescue’ space opera from 9th to 22nd May. Zeus Junker Queen will also be back in the Battle for Olympus event from 23rd to 29th May. You can get the full lowdown on the Overwatch blog here.
