Introduction:
Things are going pretty good for Jesse and the crew. Days of adventuring are behind our heroes it would seem. Living cushy lives, running their own towns, and such. Jesse even has a personal assistant by the name of Radar.

Petra needs our help with something in the mine. What was supposed to be an easy romp through a mine becomes something much more. Time to head on adventure to find a solution.

Abbreviated Walkthrough:
Unlike season 1, all achievements are story related this time. So just make your choices how you want to and enjoy the game/story. Also, unlike other Telltale games, the combat in this game is freely controlled (as opposed to Quick Time Events in other Telltale games) and that is the only reason I've ranked this as a 2/10 in difficulty instead of 1/10, since you can't just sit back and press buttons the entire time. Lastly, each episode has a free roam section and/or puzzle to solve, so the solutions will be in the relevant chapter's achievement solution in the guide. Beating the game will net you all of the achievements though, so enjoy the story.

DLC: Episode 1

Abbreviated Walkthrough:
Episode 1 of Season 2 starts off with some peaceful roaming around Beacontown. Eventually Petra will ask you to help her in the mines. After some playing around (racing, beating some minor enemies, etc.) things quickly escalate and it turns out you're in for more than you expected. As mentioned in the overall roadmap, if you've played the first season, all achievements in this episode and season are story related, so make whatever choices you want throughout the episode and consult the guide if you get stuck.

DLC: Episode 2

Abbreviated Walkthrough:
Episode 2 sees you meeting a new villain, the Admin. You'll go on a quest for him, complete a challenge, and fight some enemies, but it's a pretty short and simple episode. As with all episodes, all of the achievements are story related and can't be missed, so make whatever choices you want and enjoy the story.

DLC: Episode 3

Abbreviated Walkthrough:
The third episode sees you going to prison and eventually escaping. If you're stuck on what to do to progress in the free roam section, refer to the guide below. As with all episodes, all achievements are story related so make whatever choices you want.

DLC: Episode 4

Abbreviated Walkthrough:
Episode 4 involves a lot of combat and sees you making your way back to Beacontown to confront the Admin. If you weren't used to the combat before, you definitely will be after this episode. As with all episodes, all achievements are story related so make whatever choices you want.

DLC: Episode 5

Abbreviated Walkthrough:
You finally confront the Admin in this episode for the finale, and you'll need to determine the fate of Beacontown. As with all episodes, all achievements are story related so make whatever choices you want.

Conclusion:
Season 2 of Minecraft Story Mode is now complete and it's another wild adventure for the protagonists. If you're a fan of Minecraft, then you'll likely enjoy another adventure. However, this game and its story were a bit rushed, so compared to other Telltale games it's a bit lacking, but it's still an easy and relatively quick completion.

    • Complete Chapter 2 of Episode 2

      Story-related; cannot be missed.

After deciding who's going to take first watch, Reuben will ask you to build him a structure. You only need to place a single block and then you can progress, if you don't want to actually build anything. After some dialogue with a new villain, you have to fight off a bunch of enemies. Strafe and roll to keep them all on one side of you so you don't get surrounded, and then just swipe at them when they get near you.

After the combat, the rest of the chapter is a bunch of dialogue.

    • Complete Chapter 3 of Episode 2

      Story-related; cannot be missed.

This chapter is all dialogue. Make whatever choices you want, then you'll eventually pull a lever and fall down, ending the chapter.

    • Complete Chapter 4 of Episode 2

      Story-related; cannot be missed.

After a bunch of dialogue the group will split up and you'll have to decide who to go with. Going with Jack, Petra, and Vos takes you to puzzles; going with Radar and Lucas takes you to combat challenges.

If you go with Jack, Petra, and Vos, you'll end up in a room with a block puzzle in the center. Interact with it, and then remove all of the right half blocks (all of the green and gray ones). Head to the right side of the room and give Vos the torch to get red bricks in return. Now go to Petra on the left side of the room and give her clay. She'll give you black clay in return. Go back to the puzzle in the center now. Put your red bricks on the right side in the exact mirrored positions as the left side. Put your single gray block on the bottom in the mirrored position of the gray block on the left side. Then simply fill the rest in with black blocks to mirror the left side. This will open the gate and present a new puzzle on the wall. Open the chest to get spider eyes, and use them to replace the diamond in the center and the two on the sides. This will make a second chest appear. Open it to get crafting ingredients. Craft the item by placing three glass cubes across the top row, three white quartz pieces across the middle row, and three pieces of wood across the bottom row. Placing the sensor opens the path forward.

If you go with Radar and Lucas, you'll need a bow and arrows. Head to the bush on the left and break it to get sticks, to the hopper in the back of the room to take arrows, and to the webs on the right to get string. Now you can craft a bow at the crafting table. Above the spot where you got the arrows is a button near the ceiling. Shoot it to begin the challenge. Shoot only the "bad guys" such as skeletons, zombies, etc., and don't shoot any innocents. After completing three waves, the challenge will complete. You'll then have to fight off a bunch of enemies. Again, keep them on one side of you and dodge constantly.

The chapter will end after completing either path.

    • Complete Chapter 5 of Episode 2

      Story-related; cannot be missed.

You'll go through more dialogue with the Admin and then will go through an action sequence. To escape, you'll have to craft a pickaxe. The recipe is three green gems across the top row and then a stick in the center and bottom-center boxes. Go through the wall and after some more action this chapter will end.

    • Complete Chapter 2 of Episode 3

      Story-related; cannot be missed.

When you get to the prison you'll have to choose to either work for the warden or not. The path splits based on your choice.

If you choose to work for the warden, go to the right and the guy there will ask you to make a mushroom. Just place a block anywhere to proceed. Now you have to talk to two more prisoners - Anthony to get cocoa beans and Oxblood to get wheat - after which a prisoner will attack you. After the encounter, go to the crafting table on the left side of the room and craft a cookie by placing cocoa beans in the center and wheat on the left and right sides of it. Go give the cookie to Radar and he'll transform...

Or, if you decide not to work for the warden, you'll still have to go make a mushroom for the guy on the right (just place a block), but then when you go talk to Anthony he'll give you a bow. Go to the left and talk to Brick about mushrooms, then walk all the way towards the screen to find a pit. Interact with it to start a QTE that results in your getting a regular and red mushroom. Head to the crafting table on the left but a prisoner will attack you. After the interaction, go to the crafting table and craft stew by placing the bowl in the bottom middle square, the regular mushroom right above it, and the red mushroom to the left of that mushroom. Give Radar the stew and he'll transform...

After all that an alarm will sound. Go inside Oxblood's cell and listen at the wall in the back. Open the secret door, then punch the painting on the right side of the room to make buttons appear. The correct combination is 2-1-3. After a little more dialogue the chapter will end.

    • Complete Chapter 3 of Episode 3

      Story-related; cannot be missed.

Once you're back in control, head to the back of the room and investigate the hole in the wall. Then head to Prisoner X's cell and investigate it as well. Now go to Stella and talk to her to get the items you need to make a lever. Head to the crafting table and follow the recipe to make a lever. Before you can place the lever you'll have to fight off a bunch of zombies. Remember to dodge and keep them in front of you. Place the lever and open the door. After a bunch more dialogue the chapter will end.

After fighting off all the enemies and some more dialogue, this chapter will end.

Now you'll have to answer three questions. The answers are Lapis Blue, Waffles, and Birch. After some more dialogue you'll be back in control. Go to the closet and open it, and press the button inside to open a secret room. Inside it, read the book on the right and the map in the back. Leave, and then after some short dialogue the chapter will end.

After some dialogue at the castle you'll be told to build. As with all building, simply place a single block and then you can progress. Inside, you'll have to fight some enemies. You can kill them like normal or you can step on the floor switches to make water fall and destroy them. In the second phase, head over to the machine to start a QTE to destroy it. Lastly you'll fight one big enemy. Stand on both switches to destroy its arms. Once done, mine some sand and head to the crafting table. Place gunpowder in the center and the four corners. Place sand in the four open spaces. This will make TNT and will end the chapter.

    • Complete Chapter 5 of Episode 4

      Story-related; cannot be missed.

Head inside the nearby cabin and examine the book shelf and the armor stand. After some dialogue, pick up the three beds and then put them down in the correct order: purple, then blue, then red. After a bunch of dialogue, some prompts and some QTEs, you'll have to fight some enemies. Deal with them like normal. Finally, mine some stone and cobblestone to rebuild part of the house. Place sugar in all three spots of the middle row to make paper. Now place paper in the center, gunpowder below it, and your firework on the left of the paper to make fireworks.
