Introduction:
The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 is a point-and-click adventure game that parodies all things fantasy. It is a very simple, straightforward game. You will get most of the achievements by just playing through the story, but there are a handful of missable achievements that you need to keep an eye out for. The game uses an auto save feature, and it uses it often. There is no separate save file, and if you manually save it will be overwritten by the last auto save. Be careful not to miss an achievement. If you do, immediately pause the game and reload your latest save. None of the achievements are difficult to get, as long as you pay attention to when the missable ones are available.
Note: There is currently a save glitch in which the save icon will appear in the bottom left and will not go away. If this occurs, you should quit the game and restart it. Achievements will still unlock, but it won’t save correctly. You will simply load to the last auto save before the glitch occurred. Many players have reported having hours of gameplay lost to this glitch.
Abbreviated Walkthrough:
Simply play through the game to get the majority of the achievements. The following achievements are missable and separated by the chapter you can get them in. Refer to their individual achievement descriptions for details on how to get them.
Chapter 1:
"Fisher Queen"
"Enlightened"
"File Muncher"
"Time Traveler"
Chapter 2:
"Drunken Master"
"Math Magician"
Chapter 3:
"Servant of the Gods"
"I am the law!"
Chapter 4:
"Pokerface"
"King of Games"
"Eyecatcher"
Chapter 5:
"Yes, master?"
"To the bitter end"
Conclusion:
Overall the game is an easy completion with only a minimal effort taken to avoid missable achievements. If you do miss one, you risk having to replay hours of content. This is a really fun and cute game with a great sense of humor, and I totally recommend it to fans of point-and-click games or newcomers to the genre.
