Developer Arkane Studios has confirmed that Redfall, its vampire-blasting open world co-op actioner, won't be launching with a 60fps Performance Mode on Xbox Series X|S. Instead, it'll be added via a post-launch update, due to arrive “at a later date”.
At launch, Redfall will only support Quality Mode, with 4K resolution at 30fps on Xbox Series X and 1440p resolution at 30fps on Xbox Series S. With the game also set to require an always-online connection, even when playing single-player - which Arkane is looking into finding ways to get around - it seems Redfall will be releasing next month with a few caveats.
Set within the eponymous small town, overrun by a legion of bloodsuckers, Redfall certainly looks promising, but a lack of 60fps support at launch will undoubtedly prove hugely disappointing for some. Redfall launches for Xbox Series X|S and PC on 2nd May, and you can check out a new character trailer below (following last week's Layla video).

I prefer better graphics to gos anyway unless it’s online PvP shooter. Having said that if this wasn’t free on GP I’d probably be waiting on deep sale so maybe that’s why Asians all of sudden is in no rush to release game with all the bells and whistles we expect from them…
