THQ Nordic and developer Frozenbyte have announced Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy, an upcoming follow-up to 2019's Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince, which promises more of the 2.5D co-op puzzle platforming adventure the series is known for.
Boasting twenty levels to play through as Amadeus the Wizard, Zoya the Thief, and Pontius the Knight, Trine 5 is, according to Frozenbyte, the “most action-packed journey” in the series to date, with puzzle difficulty changing to accommodate player numbers.
Trine 5 also introduces a new skill quest system, tactical multi-phase boss battles, and another fantastical fairyland to explore, taking in gemstone caverns, underwater passages, and more.
With support for up three players in online or local co-op, as well as solo play, Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy will be coming to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC. A release date has yet to be announced.
